Ukraine becomes a member of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia

PHNOM PENH: On the afternoon of November 10, 2022, Ukraine became a member of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) after signing the treaty.

Ukraine will become the 50th member to sign the Instruments of Accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.

As the Chair of ASEAN in 2022, a total of seven countries have signed the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.

"The fact that we have up to seven countries that have signed this treaty in a year is a major accomplishment for Cambodia, as becoming a member of this treaty is not something that happens often. Furthermore, we can be proud of our ability to strengthen partnerships and attract the interest and support of countries outside the region," said Secretary of State Kong Phok for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
